Week #8

Greetings and Salutations this week I've done some things, let me share.

First since I needed an extra storm bolter I made a silicon mold of one and used green stuff to recreate it. It came out pretty well with only two flaws, one is underneath the drum and will never be noticed so I've left it the other was that the muzzles were flawed so I removed them and then glued in two bolter muzzles from some leftover marine bolters. It should look fine once painted up and attached to a sister.

Next a photo of my dog for national pet day. His name is Pokolei.

Then throughout the week I painted some goblins! But I forgot which ones I painted this week and just photo'd all of them. I now realize the ones I didn't paint this week don't have tan belts or ropes on their spears (just brown). So thats how you can tell. This one was painted earlier.

I decided to use blue for the moon weights on the net because it helps tie them into the rest of the force (as otherwise they have no blue on them)

The command group. I particularly liked the mushrooms on the gong of the musician.

The left ones shield is my favorite moon design. The big empty eye works really well imo.

I should go back and re-wash the mouth of the right one.

I was having some trouble focusing the camera after the first few pictures so I had to resort to weird things. I didn't bother with the photo booth this week because its just some goblins.

Some more!

And the full group of twenty ready to stab ya for da queen and da moon.

Week #7

ITS DONE!

After months and months of painting, I finally said "fuck it" and just finished my Tau in a single week. With this every 40k army I own except sisters (an ongoing project) are fully painted. This includes:
        1.  Harlequins+Craftworlds (around 1000 points)
        2. Space Wolves (Around 500 points)
        3. Genestealer Cults (around 1500 points)
        4. Tau (around 750 points)
And with all that finished I'm going to start working on my sisters full tilt. Adding units and such as my main project while also chipping away at my other 3 mini-projects which I don't thik will take me too long to finish these include:

        • Gloomspite Gitz
        • Sylvaneth
        • Blackstone Fortress
        • D&D Minis (they are endless!)
Well with that said and done. Here is what I painted this week (its a fucking lot):

First I painted up some Kroot!

Next I painted up Some Pathfinders, they're very fast. (somehow I missed that this pic was blurry and didn't want to take more than 1 pic of each mini since theres a lot)

Next I painted up some Crisis Suits. These guys have their weapons magnetized so I can outfit them how I like. I've also added red marks to their heads to represent being part of the Farsight Enclaves (I plan to do this with more units soon, likely replacing squad markings with red marks over purple ones)

And a weapon loadout (specifically a useless one as I don't think you'll ever see a suit with a flamer, plasma gun and shield generator)

Next is the squad leader who gets inverted colors on his suit. (not all squad leaders have inverted colors, its an honorary marking for suits who have gone above and beyond in battle)

Hes equipped with two fusion blasters on his arms and two missile pods on his shoulders. Note that crisis suits can only equip 3 weapons but Iv'e been proxying this guy as my commander for a while (and commanders can take up to 4 weapon systems)

Uh this is like a Drone Controller Sniper guy I think? Honestly I don't know what he is one moment while I check. OK this is a firesight marksman. Neat. Hes metal, and was a bitch to get paint off him because it was painted by someone... not very good at painting and the paint had dried basically hes an ebay rescue. He turned out alright.

Next a couple of drones. This one is my gun/markerlight drone. Im not sure why its antennae is so massive.

Another angle.

ZOOM

Not sure what kinda drone this is, he came with the Pathfinder box let me check. Its a "Grav inhibitor drone" whos job is to say "fuck your charges" as he slows charging units down.

Next is the fire warrior Squad, which was all painted up between yesterday and today:

And heres everything I painted this week in one group. How nice.

And because I like to always have a full photo heres my entire tau force.

Also wanted to post my entire battle box of Sisters since I finished that last week but didn't post it.

Week #6

Sorry few days late but posting now!

I got a tiny photobooth to photo my mini's tell me what you think!

First is a battle sister of a new clan. Ar Sellac. They're brave, loyal and impetuous.

It was a bit dark at first so I raised her up on my modpodge bottle to be a bit closer to the lamp.

And finally a front view.

Another Ar Sellac sister.

Her tartan, the Purity seal stands out nicely.

And her running to the side.

Now we've had a gunning sister, and a running sister. And now the RUnning+Gunning Sister!

Her back.

And frontal view.

Next up is my new sergeant for a Brood Brother Squad. I got these guys second hand so they're all just normal cadians no conversions. I need to redo their bases but that will be later. I think I'm going to abandon the old base style, it takes too long for a horde army.

His back, all 11 of these guys got painted in a single day.

The five snap-fit guardsmen who came with it. I'll probably need to buy more.

(I forgot to ink their grenades)

No you aren't seeing double, nor photoshop, Just two identical flamer troops I photo'd at the same time since... they're identical.

Reversed!

One side!

The Other side!

The Vox-casters were also identical.

The other way.

Woo vox-casting

The other way.

The one normal guardsman who wasn't ez-build

I got five new Abberants as well. Heres the first one! (shortly after this pic I did do the energy coils on his hammer dont worry. I know you were worried about that)

I went with brown pants this time to differenciate from the tan of their carapace.

Another

And another!

Hes going to hit someone with a rock.

Alas poor Yarrick.

Oh yeah I got these guys from Warpcrate which sends random minis (based on a few selections such as army). These guys were already built & based. I'll probably use this basing technique on the future since its easy and looks nice.

Finally the second abberant this one got a blue sign with sandstone "cement" on his weapon. I like that squads can ahve 1 abberant per 5 guys so I can use both of these

Back!

Sisters got a lot of people to bolter their way through... doesn't look great.
