This week I have a few fun things to post!
First is the test scheme for my Tau army, I likely wont paint them all up anytime soon but this is the scheme I will go with when I do. I really like the clean white armor on Tau, reminds me of stormtroopers but less-evil.
Next are my 5 remaining Leadbelchers. Ogres toting cannons of scrap to fire on their enemies.
I also decided to go a bit beyond that and painted up my Ogre Hunter. I'm particularly happy with his "Parrot" (fitting my pirate theme)
Finally my secret project was some terrain, 4 lines of scratch-built barbed wire.
"Come at me Gue'la"
A place where I post models I paint and hopefully get better at said painting.

Weekly Update #6
Here we go! New Week new models!
This week I started by finishing up one of my two remaining monsters for my Ogre Kingdoms... My Ironblaster.
I got this model off a friend and am frankly a bit disappointed in the condition but I bought it 5-6 years ago so I don't really have room to complain. Its missing some parts, and the Rhinox doesn't sit flush with the carriage and the rider is missing one arm (I proxied a banner standard arm with some greenstuff rope, it doesn't look great upon inspection but functions well enough from tabletop height. If I get really back into WHFB I'll probably buy a second one and retire this one to the box or only when I choose to take two Ironblasters.
Next I have two more dwarves I painted up as test models for my sisters. I tried using different metal combinations before the wash and different patterns/colors on the cloth.
Overall I think I like the middle dwarf's metal the most (Leadbelcher+Silver Highlights) while I prefer the leftmost tartan pattern but that may just be because I had more practice by the time I got to him.
Next week I plan to have the following:

- 6 More finished Ogres
- Fire Warrior, now that their paint is stripped I can now paint up a few practice models to see if I like my planned color scheme.
- A surprise. I'm already working on this one but its taken longer due to some project restraints but I'm excited about it.

Weekly Update #5
Aaaaaaaaand I'm back and with what I've done for the last two weeks. It hasn't been quite as productive but things still got done!
First I finished up my ogre Maneaters. They're not the official maneater models but I put more work into them to make them unique (notice the blue-ring octopus on the captains head).
I'm trying out a new photography method (using my window for light) so tell me how it works compared to older photographs.
After I finished these models my painting table, much like Cadia, was destroyed in an arm-related accident.
But with some work by the Adeptus Mechanicus its now in working shape again (with about 4 more heavy duty screws in the side)
I also decided to strip some models. Here's a before and after of a terminator captain I plan to turn into a fancy statue. I used purple power. I prefer LA Awesome but couldn't find any (I later found some at the dollar store...oh well time to use up a gallon of this stuff first). It worked pretty well. (You can see the cup the model was soaking in on the table there). I ended up soaking it for about 48 hours
Finally I used a dwarf to test a possible scheme for my Adepta Sororitas when they come in.
Dog Tax: A picture of Mina, our neighbors dog. She likes our porch better for some reason.

Weekly Update #4 (sorta)
So this week i ran out of my wash and ordered some more so I didn't quite finish the models I wanted to get done. But I still want to hold myself accountable for weekly updates so this week I'll be posting some of the models i painted in the 6 year hiatus I was gone. There's not a lot (and this isn't all of them I don't think) but I didn't do a whole lot of painting in that time. But heres what we got.
Skaven Assassin. I tend to keep 1 miniature from every army I eventually sell and this guy is my Skaven one.
Similarly this Ork Mekboy is my Ork representative (although I would like to start up an ork army again in the future now)
Amiri (?) from Reaper Miniatures. Shes the iconic barbarian for Pathfinder, I just really adored the model, and the fact her greatsword is technically a giants shortsword (or something along those lines)
This was a Barbarian mini I used to represent a half-orc war cleric I played. She was fun, this was about 7 years ago.
I don't remember his name but like Amiri up above this is the iconic pathfinder character for Bards. He represented my friends gnomish bard in a D&D game recently who is now known for blinding a man by stabbing him in the face with a wand "Bippity Boppity BLIND!"
And finally another character from reaper for Pathfinder. Its not an iconic she represents some character from an adventure path (a Royal Guard or something) but I liked the mini and think the paint scheme came out nicely. The Silver+Green looks good. Unfortunately her army was a bit dangly and fell off but I used a sort of old CA glue on it so it now has a massive thing of white film and looks horrible. Hopefully I can touch it up. If not I may get a 2nd of the sculpt and attempt to fix it.

A Gnome Mage from Reaper Miniatures. Her robes are blue but its hard to tell with the lighting, some of the darker mini's don't show up very well and I need to improve the lighting situation in general for the photos I take.
This is Merry & Pippin from, well a VERY long time ago. I don't exactly remember when I painted these but sometime after 2003 since thats when these sculpts released (along with the third movie)
